After seeing "August Rush" the other day, I learned about Kaki King, and also Michael Hedges. I think they are one of the most amazing musicians I ever heard. Of course, I like acoustic guitar very much, but those artists have a powerful expression that is truly exceptional. I don't know about Michael, but Kaki said, her inspiration came from going through her upsets. She finds her answers and healing in her music. Her music is her therapy. When I saw "August Rush", I was completely taken by her guitar play. Amazing. There is a God.
I wrote about it in my latest blog entry. Included are two songs, one by Kaki, one by Michael.
